Teaching Philosophy

Essential preparation for a career in Film, Television, or Theater is Acting Training. A solid foundation in interpreting text, establishing character, discovering relationship, determining intention, etc. is part of the theatrical actor’s arsenal. The same is true for Voice Over acting. Whether the challenge is creating the “mom” in a Clorox commercial or playing SpongeBob’s Grandpa, a voice actor’s groundwork is the same as if he or she was preparing to play Lear or Mrs. Maisel.

Both the private lessons and the Voice Over Intensives incorporate the essentials of acting training to ensure that VO actors ground themselves organically in their characters, creating truthful expression using instinct, imagination and emotional authenticity. The training will teach you how to discover and realize the infrastructure of every character, enhancing your range, and bringing fully realized characters to life.
