Jeannie is an incredible teacher - I started working with her not knowing very much about the VO world and came out with a plethora of knowledge, confidence, and experience. Working with Jeannie both privately and in group settings has given me the confidence to explore my vocal range and my instincts as an actor, and has led to my working full time in commercial voiceover! People frequently ask me whom I recommend they train with if they are an actor or singer interested in pursuing a career in VO, and I always mention Jeannie's name. Jeannie is up on the times and the evolving industry and is also the best person to get advice from on creating demos, landing auditions, developing characters, analyzing commercial copy, and working with agents. I am super grateful for all that Jeannie has done, and continues to do!

I had no prior professional experience in acting before I started taking classes with Jeannie, and yet Jeannie was patient with me and carefully guided me as to how to be a modern voice actor. Learning the conversational style from her was different than the announcer style voice I'd always thought a voice actor would have, but I find that acting in a more conversational way fits a lot better with who I am, and I like it a whole lot. More than anything else, though, taking classes with Jeannie is fun, and I love coming to class to work with her!

Jeannie has been my voice-coach for nearly a decade now. From day one she was helping me hone in the "conversational" style of modern voice-work, as well as help expand my repertoire of video-game characters and cartoon voices. She even cut my VO-demo. I've always enjoyed working with her and would highly recommend her coaching to any new or seasoned VO artist.

Jeannie is a consummate professional.  So great to study with an instructor who has a successful VO career.  The one-to-one instruction was ideal for me. From the moment we started working I knew I was in great hands -- Jeannie is clearly an expert. Love the tool set for reviewing the material, defining the steps for the best way to approach the copy, and executing to bring it to life.  Jeannie has extensive experience across all different VO mediums (e.g. commercials, animation and video games.) and as a working talent and casting director she's really in the know about where the marketplace is and what clients are looking for. I found Jeannie's feedback most helpful in driving me to make the strongest choices, especially when it comes to communicating real and authentic (non-announcer-y) delivery of the copy. Without a doubt, this was money wisely invested. I highly recommend Jeannie Elias!

Jeannie Elias will forever be who I have fondly come to call my "VO Fairy Godmother"! She was vital and essential in the creation of my now ongoing Voice Over career.

Jeannie was my coach and mentor for several years as I dared to wade into the waters of the VO world. One thing that is immediately obvious about Jeannie is her highly refined ability to act, communicate, and connect... both with herself, and anybody else. These qualities are what helped create the safety within myself for her to access and derive from me what was necessary to grow, evolve, and thrive as a Voice Over Artist.

My first three professional demos were coached and produced by Jeannie... Commercial, Commercial Character, and Animation.

I have often referred to Jeannie as "World Class" and expressed how fortunate I was to have met her and to have had her influence as a coach. Her coaching technique has always been consistent... whether in large workshops, small groups, or one-on-one. Most of our one-on-one sessions were done remotely via phone patch or Skype, to great effect. The job of the Voice Actor is to create the world, character, or message they are representing with their voice, but originating from within their authentic self and truth. Remote coaching allows the learner to have the safety, security, and privacy necessary to learn, but with NO sacrifice to the level and quality of instruction. If you ever "Google" Jeannie Elias... the credentials absolutely speak for themselves.

As the year ends I wanted to write and let you know how much I appreciate your guidance, direction and support these last few years. I feel so incredibly blessed to be making a good living doing VO, and you are such a huge part of this success. You helped me immensely. Without you I would not be at the level I am. I sure as hell wouldn't be at DPN. You gave me a start and showed me kindness and positivity. For that I will always have a deep fondness for you. I won't ever forget it.

Jeannie, you are truly a great teacher!

Your preparedness before class and during class was exceptional. I wish all teachers were half as prepared as you were.
You gave us tools before with our videos to you, during class with your passionate directing and your handouts have been helpful after class, Thank you.
Teaching is a gift and not everyone has the gift. You have it in spades and I should have told you long before now.
